What Is a Reiki Therapist?

A Reiki therapist is someone who has been attuned to Reiki and has been trained by a competent Reiki Master Teacher to treat other people.

What Is a Reiki Master Teacher?

A Reiki Master Teacher is someone that has gained sufficient knowledge to be able to train and attune other people to Reiki.  Some are members of the FHT or the Reiki Association and other affiliations.

How does Reiki Work?

Reiki works by the laying on of hands on various parts of the head and body. The therapist is a conduit for the energy to flow in and through and passes the energy to the client.

Is Reiki the same as massage?

Reiki is not massage as the hands are placed gently on various parts of the head or the body. It is the energy that goes to work and helps the client to relax. This helps aid the self healing process.

I have been told there is no cure for my condition can Reiki help?

Yes, Reiki can always help.  The wisdom of the energy always knows what is needed for any person and situation. It can only do good. Nothing is left in isolation as the whole of the person is treated and Reiki will always do its best to help the person benefit from the energy. Trust in the healing power of Reiki.

Can I have Reiki if I’m receiving medical treatment?

Yes, it is fine to receive Reiki if you are receiving medical treatment. Reiki is complementary to any physical or physiological treatment you are receiving.

Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?

Yes please bring with you a list of any medications and a list of any conditions your doctor has diagnosed you with.

Do you give Reiki to children?

Yes Reiki can be given to children as long as the parents have given their permission and a parent stays with the chid while they are receiving their treatment.

Can I stay in touch after my treatment?

Yes you are very welcome to telephone me with any questions regarding Reiki between 9am and 8pm  Monday to Saturday. If we are unable to take your call then please leave us a message and we will contact you as soon as possible. We will be happy to give you a courtesy call to see how you are doing a few days after your treatment.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment takes approximately 90 minutes, a consultation will be given and then your treatment will take place. You will be asked how you feel physically, mentally and emotionally and spiritually. The treatment will be intuitively guided and then you will be asked to monitor how you are feeling over the next few days. If you feel that you have benefited from your treatment and further treatments are advised you can talk to your therapist and work out a recovery plan to suit your requirements.
